What you do
As a member of the warehouse team you are in charge of a variety of picking, packing, inspection and shipping tasks. You verify accuracy of inventory and you maintain the cleanliness of the Warehouse. You work closely with other Warehouse Assistants as well as the Warehouse Manager on inventory, discrepancies etc. You contribute to continuous improvement goals throughout the company and its processes.
But your role will specialize and grow in the realm of pick pack assembly work, as the company’s needs and special projects develop. Special projects may consist of assembling hardware kits from components from multiple vendors, sometimes modifying them for better fit. You must be comfortable working with your hands and using electrical tools.
Your daily routine:
- Unloads, stage incoming materials for receipt.
- Pick and/or verify inventory prior to shipping.
- Quality Control - inspection of products, coordination with Purchasing to get replacement products.
- Maintain accurate levels of warehouse and shipping supplies.
- Operate dolly and pallet jack while loading and unloading of freight carriers.
- Assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.
- Assist in the opening and closing of the building as required.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Assist in facilities maintenance.

- Ability to follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives and safety standards.
- Good communication skills with coworkers and management teams
- Ability to read and write both accurately and professionally
- Good sense of arithmetics
- Ability to use computers and a willingness to learn new programs
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects (75lbs)
- Mechanically inclined
- Comfortable working with tools
- An interest in design and a willingness to learn about our products and our customers.

About Us
Bridgeport Worldwide is a small (~25 person) but growing company in the high-end North American design and construction sector. We import, market, help specify and sell high-performance architectural hardware from all over the world.
Our business works with designers, residential and commercial hardware dealers, door and window manufacturers, and builders to help them create beautiful environments for their clients. Our success is contingent on our ability to educate people in the design/build universe, including our direct customers, on how to properly specify and integrate our product offering into their product lines and projects.
What you do
