Job Description

An exciting and important role is opening up at Bridgeport Worldwide for an experienced and engaging Data Analyst to help flesh out the data and reporting sets needed for our continued success.

Based in Bridgeport, CT and working under the general direct of the Sales Director, this role operates in close collaboration with the leadership team. Your role is to organize data into reporting sets/dashboards/notifications, with a focus on the Sales and Marketing sub organization of the Company.

To do that, you will first help identify nomenclature, and work within our new ERP system, Acumatica, as well as multiple data sources (Hubspot, Excel, Hotwax, Copper, Google sheets and cloud based data) and input from the leadership team to build out the reporting and analytical aspects of the organization.

We import, market, help specify and sell high-performance building hardware from around the world. We have customers from all segments in the design-build industry ranging from Architecture and Design firms to custom millwork shops, to contractors large and small.

About You

Incredibly curious and attentive to details, you will act as the lead data specialist to organize, track, categorize, analyze and visualize large datasets. Your creative and adaptive thinking skills guide your passion for conveying complex data in an intelligible manner. Your sense of humor helps you keep your cool in any situation.

What You Need

  • A background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Economics with a history of proven data management, reporting and analysis skill sets employed.
  • Strong mathematical skills and confidence to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
  • Familiarity with Acumatica ERP preferred; experience with ERP(s) required
  • Experience with Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)
  • Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
  • Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (Javascript, XML, or ETL frameworks), Power BI
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and analysis and adeptness in using data processing platforms
  • Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau, LucidChart, and the Adobe suite
  • Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions
  • Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, and Python a plus but not required

This role is a full time position, ideally filled by an individual able to be in our Bridgeport, Connecticut office on a regular basis.
